Yes, California requires all LLCs registered to do business in the state to file Form 568 annually, even if the LLC had no income or was inactive during the tax year. You must still pay the $800 minimum franchise tax.
For single-member LLCs (disregarded entities), Form 568 is due on the 15th day of the 4th month after the close of the LLC's tax year. For calendar year filers, this is April 15, 2025. Extensions are available by filing Form 3537.
